Our New Dog... Meg!

A couple weeks ago we were able to get a dog from my Aunts Friend. She is a Yorkie and she is 9 years old. The story is that she was in 3 different homes and we felt really bad when we heard that she lived in a kennel most of the time because her owners worked all the time. So then she was given to there friends but she didn't get along with there Yorkie puppy. So then they ended up with my Aunts friend who said she would help her find a home and if they couldn't they would just keep her. So when my Aunt called I was overwhelmed because I have wanted a Yorkie ever since I was in High School so I just  had to go see her. We immediately fell in love she was a little shakey because she didn't know what was going on, but she warmed up to us really fast. I Love it when I come home and she is right there to see me. She gets so excited it's the cutest thing ever! A couple of days after we got her we took her in the get a check up and update her on all her shots and that is when we found out that she has Periodontal Disease which can eventually kill them. So we got her all signed up to get her teeth cleaned so that she could get it taken care of. When we picked her up on Friday she had, had 15 teeth pulled! It was so sad because she was so scared and you could just see it in her eyes that she didn't feel good. But when we got her home she was a TON happier. She did open up one of her blood clots and she just kept bleeding shane and I felt so bad. It didn't stop until she went to bed, but in the middle of the night she started to cry so shane got up and laid next to her on the floor and kept her company, next thing you know shane wakes up and is flippin out and I thought that the dog had stopped breathing or something because of how he was acting. It ended up that Meg had swallowed a lot of blood and it had upset her stomach so she threw up on shane's arm and the floor... I felt bad for the dog but I couldn't help but laught my butt off at Shane! She's doing tons better and is back to normal! She is back to fighting with the cat and running around playing with her toys oh and growling at her water dish! We Love our New Addition!
